Funniest thing Muhammad said... :)

So I was watching this video about a strong and proud Muslim guy that used his wife's face as a boxing bag, as is the custom sometimes in Islamic countries, and he said something that I find to be the funniest thing I've heard in a while:
'Muhammad has forbidden the beating of a wife in the face'
Oh, I had no idea, this changes everything
To me that's like saying you shouldn't rape your daughters more than twice on Saturdays, but hey to each his own
Anyway here's the video, enjoy

*disclaimer to Muslims: I don't know if Muhammad really said that, I just think it's really funny that this guy thinks this way. Peace :D

Haha. What a jerk. One thing I love about my husband (Muslim) is that he is vehemently against the beating of women and gets very angry when he finds out Muslims are beating women. His cousin is often the victim of that, but no matter how much my husband tells her that she needs to leave her husband or press charges against him, she won't. It is so sad. I believe that the Qur'an does say some sort of light physical abuse is acceptable and does say not to beat a wives face. But really the truth is that anyone who loves God, Muslim or not, would not have the heart to hurt their wife.

The Quran is just a pile of beeeep
So sorry, the more I read and learn about what some Muslims are doing, the more convinced I am the Quran is a dangerous text.
No worries, I think similarly of the Bible, but its readers seem to be a more peaceful kind of crazy, so to them I can just say whatever and mind my business.
Your husband sounds like a good man, he probably takes the best in the Quran and steers clear of the nasty parts

The main problem with the Qu'ran is that it blatantly calls for a theocracy for Muslims (and people of other religions are to have their own theocracy). Although some Christians believe the Bible also calls for a theocracy, it does not blatantly call it's followers to form governments and use the Bible as law. When a theocracy is in place a holy text can become a weapon.

Bleh, personally I should ban the damn thing together with the Nazi crap.
Or at least here's an idea: You pray to Mecca, power to you and your faith.
You bring some religious violence to the table, you are forbidden from owning a Quran or visiting a Mosque. That would encourage a totally different view of violence and radical behavior in Islam.
Islam is a luxury, given its HIGH potential for abuse, it should NOT be available to all adults, only to those that have proven they can handle it responsibly. By NOT commiting religious violence, of the type we see a lot lately.
I wonder how many Imams would support such an idea

well shoot! who would know if she was beaten on her face? she isn't allowed to show it! can ya imagine how worthless it would make you feel having to hide what you look like EVERY SINGLE DAY?? trust me, a beating would hurt a lot less than the mental cruelty they have to deal with on a daily basis.
Hellcord, dude, you rock!

well now, I don't know if it's that weird about the veiling thing. Sure by our standards it is, but then again, I'm sure that some African tribesmen would start having very low self esteem if they weren't allowed to show their d1cks in public :D
We have to cover them and it doesn't bother us, if it's widely accepted in a society you don't even think about it.
But yes the other forms of abuse and terror on women is totally uncool over there, and I blame it strongly on Muhammad and the Qu'ran. I refuse to believe that it's an Arab thing, that they just like to abuse women that much. And apart from that, what's the other major thing that Muslim areas have in common ?
Doesn't seem that hard to figure out to me

I really dont think any Prophet would write such things, for I believe he himself married many times over. The koran I think has been manipulated by the Imams etc. to suit their dirty minds. However, I really cant comment, never having read the Koran, but I think its shameful for any body to beat their wives. Women have to be respected and these Imams have really brainwashed the communtiy into their way of thinking. According to them, women are just like cattle, to be used for pleaure and keep house, and for nothing else. Jihad, also according to my understanding is w hen somebody threatens your religion, not otherwise. In this day and age, every body is given the freedom to practice whatever religion they like, these brainwashed people think every other religion should be banned and only Islam should be practiced. As you say, it should be practices by the sensible few only.

yep, unfortunately now we don't have any actual video footage of Muhammad, maybe he didn't even have a sword, and never killed any people with his own hand, and was a pretty swell guy.
No way to tell really, all we have is the texts and they were (at least sometimes) authored by a bunch of 's
Peace :D

I admit there are Muslims who say one thing and do something of the opposite. These are the Muslims who have given a bad image to their religion. In several Islamic countries Islam may be the official religion but only on paper. The implementation is based on traditional custom, instead of true Islamic law. For example in this case the woman has the right to file for a divorce if the husband has been aggressively abusing her, but I doubt she would be given the chance to do so. At least in my country there have been women who succeeded in their filings because their husbands did something wrong.
Do not worry, I am not offended. At least you posted it in a nice way.
all the best,

They have the right to file for divorce if the husbands were abusive ?
How about the right to file for divorce because they have the freedom to do so, or to love another, or because their husband is a boring loser with nothing to offer ?
Oh man, Islam is such a boring proposition
Can women in Islamic countries file for divorce only if the MAN did something wrong, in the legal sense, to them ?
I find that so very very weird...
