Recently,i read a report which was said that it wasn't good for a nine-month-old baby to use a baby walker.A nine-month-old baby's feet bone can't endure the body's weight. It will lead to deformation of the leg and produce O-shaped legs.Oh.Since i read this report ,i was anxiously.my little ten-month-old baby have used the baby walker for half past month.she is so happy to use it.now when she use it ,i will see her legs.i am afraid they will become O-shaped. How about your children?Did they use the baby walker before?Does the baby walker do the affect to their legs?

Walkers are illegal to buy in Canada but we have something similar that doesn't move and we are told the same thing here as well. But they also say the Jolly jumper has the same effect. When my son was little he had funny formed feet from the jolly jumper but his feet are normal now. Once your baby starts walking on her own her bones should adjust back if she is having the problem now. I wouldn't worry much about it because everyone is made differently and as long as it does not affect her life she will be fine. Don't let people and doctors worry you over something that has been used since before we were born. My legs are fine and my mom used a walker with me.

thank you ,dear.i know every baby are different and i have no need to worry about this question.Though every day i will stare at my baby's legs when she used the baby walker,i find they are ok.Now she is ten-month-old.i think her feet are strong enough to hold her body.so i won't worry about it .thank you again.

I don't think it would. I recall to have one when my son was in that age too and he had a straight leg. I think really think that it helped him strengthen his legs over time. I guess its really nice but be sure it is constructed securely because there are some walkers that are plain dangerous since your daughter might get toppled if its constructed poorly. I have seen many accidents that is related to walkers just because they are produced poorly and would break easily.

Compare with other brand,we chose the better. The walker's quality is good.now my daughter walked fast when she was in the baby walker and liked to bump the wall.so i will pay more attention to her action.thanks for your remind.

When children are ready to walk they will do so ,my three did not use the baby walker and I think it gives them incentive to want to walk sooner and legs stronger as they are using their body weight .

when the baby want to learn walking, they will hold something, such like the sofa or the wall. After using the baby walker,my daughter think she can walk by herself and refuse to hold anything.Manytimes i told her that she need hold the wall. But it has no effect. This is the result by using the baby walker.LOL..

thanks for you response.Using the baby walker makes baby feeling freedom. To us,we can be easy.If i went to work,my mother-in-low should care for my baby alone.she is old and feel tired if she take care of her the whole day.i only hope she can take a rest while baby are in the baby walker.

I have my first baby He's 10months old now and Yes he did use a walker before. He actually started using it when he was 5mos old and stopped using it at 7mos. I also read that report you mentioned. But I don't think it has any bad effects on my baby's leg. I just stopped using it, because it can dangerous when he keeps on reaching for things he isn't supposed to. If you're baby is already 10 months old, you should stop using the baby walker. It would be better to let him practice walking on his own inside his playpen. Your increasingly mobile baby wants to explore and test his boundaries (and yours too!) so I suggest that you let him try walking or standing while holding onto furniture or his playpen. I hope this helps.
