how to fade the marks of hyperpigmentation?

before 3 weeks i used a cream on 3 spots on my forhead suggested by a dctr whoch burnt those places overn8. and now im left with bad and ugly hyperpigmented marks. though i've been using a corticosteroid cream for 2 weeks prescribed by a dctr. but its not working fast and im not seeing any noticeable result still now. can anyone suggest something good and effective and easy to use thing????
