Business Process Outsourcing

Thanks to globalization... I was able to work for Americas largest internet, telephone company... But I need not go to the U.S... The job was outsourced here in my country...
Some american's says that we are robbing them of their Jobs... But we are really grateful because of these BPO's we have JObs here... with out it.. a lot of our Degree Holders will work in department stores selling tshirts...
What do you think about out sourcing????

I'm glad you have a job, but unfortunately it does probably mean that you took someone else's job because you will work more cheaply. My daughter in law works for a publishing company that has been doing more outsourcing, and they just let thirty of their employees go. That's thirty people out of work in an economic downturn when it's very difficult to find jobs.
Outsourcing isn't the answer, at least not one that will allow people to work without it being at someone else's expense. The only thing that will work, in the long run, is creating more employment opportunites in every country.

I am sorry about what happened to the thirty peeps who lost their job.. yteah.. the only solution is to create more jobs!!

The popularity of outsourcing shows us how heated the competition is under globalization. Companies, regardless of small or large sized, are looking for ways to minimize their operation cost by finding cheaper labor cost. Given that the cross-national communication is getting more convenient, I believe that outsourcing will become more and more popular and will spread to other functions that we did not imagine before.
