I do not know much of anything about people being Bipolar but I'm curious - is it possible for someone who is in their 30's to 40's.. who has been somewhat "normal", if you will, for their whole life, all of a sudden become Bipolar? Is this something you are born with or something that progresses over time? What are the signs of being mildly Bipolar or are there even different levels of it to begin with? What causes it?

I don't know the medical statistics of this but I think it is very possible from my own experience in life. I think people who go through alot of trauma can definitely experience this.

Although I know about this disorder, I am not an expert. So I have found this link for you. I will also tell you that there is a wealth of information all over the internet and many books in the library about it. On a personal note, I have a disorder that is similar to this one, so much so that experts are attempting to say that mine is simply a different version of Bipolar(manic depression). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder
