My husband, myself and some friends are getting ready to enter a wild game cook off. One of the categories for a prize is the best name. We will be cooking deer meat and I need some catchy suggestions. Thanks!

How about: 'Venison is a Benison [=blessing]'/'Venison Benison' 'Deer for My Dearest' 'Game, Set and Match' (a tennis reference, of course ... where the score might be 'Love All') 'Deer to Win' (or 'He Who Deers, Wins') 'Deering Do' 'Buck the Trend ... [Good eating is not in recession]' 'Doe as you would be done by' I apologise if you don't like puns! They make people groan but they kind of like them nevertheless ... something like a good meal, really! Have fun! (And don't forget that game is all the better for being hung properly)

You can, of course, grill the meat (but then you don't get the juices, perhaps) and make the sauce separately. Believe me, I said 'ewww' when I first heard of chocolate in the sauce but it really is incredible.

Thanks, owlwings, glad I read this post! Have printed your recipe...and I am sure it would be just as good with "moose steaks." It's amazing, some of the weirdest combinations, come up with the best flavours! I was just explaining to "miraclefreebies" that it is my day off...my son is coming home, bringing the moose steaks...so I am making his favourite; GARLIC Chocolate Chip Cookies! Thanks for sharing! Just one question....can I use Hershey's Chocolate sauce, as the other one's aren't available here in Gulf Islands, Southwestern B.C
