I have made them a few times before. My kids like them. My son came home from school the other day telling me that the whole class got to make their own pizza's and take them to the cafeteria to cook them. Have you ever made them before? What else do you use to make pizza crust? English muffins? Tortillas?

Yes, I have, many of times. It always seems to be a big hit with the kids, and so very easy to do.

Tortilla pizza's are really good and inexpensive if you like thin crust.

I never tried that, do you stack them up to make it a certain thickness? For just using one tortilla would seem way to thin..

You just use one. My kids love them that way. You could also use 2 and put some shredded cheese between them to make them a bit thicker and a little cheesier. They cook pretty quick too.

I've never made a buscuit pizza before, but I have used English Muffins. One year I tried a recipe for bbq sauce, but it didn't come out tasting anything like bbq, but it was still interesting. Well I cooked some chicken legs using this sauce, but knew the chicken wouldn't be enough, so I decided to do the english muffin pizzas. The kids really liked it. Sadly I haven't done that in a couple years, I should do it again. It's a quick, cheap meal that everyone likes!

I made a BBQ sauce that cam out really sweet once. It was still good, but not what I was expecting. I should do some English Muffin ones for dinner or an after school snack sometime soon. I have a few packages of English Muffins in the freezer that I got on sale really cheap.

My mom often had us make english muffins pizzas growing up. When she was working and had just gotten home, it was an easier way for her to make dinner, and also not to have to hear us ask what's for dinner? More recently she made biscuit pizzas by using the powdered Bisquick biscuit recipe that comes in a big box. After those were done, she just added the usual pizza ingredients.

I have not used Bisquick as the crust just the refrigerator biscuits.

Once in a while we have make your own pizza for dinner and that is what we use. I just go and buy the grand biscuits from the store and everyone puts their own toppings on for the pizza. Other than that , I will buy sub rolls and we make pizza subs.

When my kids were young, I used to get a can of refrigerated biscuits and roll them flat. Then the kids would put sauce, cheese and whatever they wanted on their pizzas. They loved it! I've had bagel pizzas and English muffins but the biscuits were best. (For our British friends, this is an American biscuit, a quick bread, not sweet). I'm going to do that with the grandkids too.

if i do not get hold of that remade dough for pizzas in the grocery store, i make use of bread. any bread will do for as long as, they are not the flavored oness. my elder son used to bake his own pizza dough. as for me, i never bothered to make one of those, it is quite cumbersome to do. takes a lot of time for the preparations and the cooking. as for biscuit pizzas, i have never tried making that. it is just that unflavored bread from the bakery and then the members of the household can innovate on the kind and toppings that everyone can think of. at most times though, i do the cooking of the entire thing myself now that two out of three are already getting their busy days dealing with day to day life.

I have never bought the biscuits I have used bisquik mix. I have at some point weather it was growing up or now in my own home made all kinds of pizza. tortilla , English muffin , bagel , pie dough , bread , regular pizza dough , we have even used grilled veggies as a base for pizza like zucchini or yellow squash then added sauce cheese and meat of some sort they are so yummy and easy. My hubby is allergic to yeast so we use tortilla most of the time as they do not have any in but the grilled veggies are his and my favorite. But boy would i like to sink my teeth into a slice of pan pizza..lol
