What is wrong with these people?

Now, I hate people who gawk at another's disaster. Especially when it ties up traffic. I try to make it a point not to look. Even if I've been waiting 15 minutes or longer to clear an accident, I refuse to turn and get a good look. Some people figure they are due a good gawk after the long wait they've had. I, however, think people should focus on the road and getting clear of the accident. I just find it disturbing when people delight in another's misfortune.

I know what a rubber necker is but it is great that you defined it for those who might not understand what it meant. That is very appreciated I bet. I have been made late for a appointment before a driving test. Which almost had to be rescheduled because of it..Lucky enough they were understanding and knew that there was nothing I could have done unless I did break the law and zoomed around them in a no pass zone. I hope that no one was hurt in the accident and sometimes rubberneckers can cause accidents themselves but being rubberneckers and not watching the road like they are supposed to. I have seen cars rear ended because of this so busy watching the ambulance workers trying to get a glimpse of someones misfortune as you stated that they end up causing a accident themselves which means even later getting somewhere..

That gets on my nerves too. I hate being late for anything. These people need to wake up and drive responsibly or stay off of the roads.

I hate it when it takes forever to get through an accident scene because of the people who are gawking and looking at the accident. Yes, it has made me late for lots of things before.

Okay, you were late for work which isn't good, but... Did anyone get hurt in the accident? Have we all become so self centered that the life's of others has no meaning to us? The on-lookers should have been forced to stay out of traffic areas by law enforcement that was there.

you can't stop those rubberneckers. this actually happen if there is an accident happens. i was in your shoes several times. i know how your hubby feels anyways.
