Witch format do you prefer? I prefer Xp just because i know alot about it and know how to work every thing if something goes wrong. Also every thing you try to run on Vista the firewall blocks it and stuff. Its so anoying. So witch one do you like beter?

At first, I found Vista to be too graphics intensive and difficult to move around in. Now, I'm in love. I like Windows XP and all, but Vista has so many little things I really enjoy. I haven't had major crashing issues (though I've had some minor ones), but I had those with XP. I like the layout and the ability to jump from place to place. I like the little sidebar and the little widgets I can get for it. It is a bit annoying to constantly tell the computer "Yes, it's okay, go ahead now," but I'm a security paranoid, so it works for me. I'm saddened that the reception for Vista hasn't been better. In the early days, I'm sure it was a mess. But we know that going in. Whenever Microsoft comes out with a new platform there's the bug stage. Everybody complains, but in the end it gets fixed and things work better. I don't like Macs, period. So, I don't compare them. I'm not a computer geek, so Linux is out of my realm. I like Vista. I know, I'm strange.

My preference for Vista is adaptation alone. XP is awesome. And consistent. My old laptop still runs it and I have no problems with that. The new internet surfing laptops are all XP (Vista eats up too much hard drive), and nobody is complaining. Honestly, I wish they'd find a platform and stick with it, upgrading it as time goes on. That happened with Windows 98 and XP, Vista was a complete departure. But in the changing world of technology, consistency has a huge appeal.

I really don't want to go vista, I have a friend who has been trialling windows 7 and he thinks it is great, he looks after my computer and he said with this I won't have to go vista so I am hoping this is the way I can go..

When someone asked me this before, I always said XP. It was what I was used to. I still have a computer with XP on it. But I also have one with Vista. It just took some getting used to. Can't say anymore that I have a preference.

hi i am arman. i have a internet cafe. and prefer for xp because its faster than vista. vist gives you better graphics but it never gives you much speed than xp because i also trt both of them. on same configration xp gives you better performance. vista is only sutaible for gaming and also vista requires very high configration. just like minium 512 ram for such a normal performance, otherside xp gives you very fast speed on 512 mb of ram. so my vote is goes for xp
