I couldn't agree with you more. I've heard of a lot of accidents happening and someone dying, because there was a driver, who was to stupid enough not to leave their phone alone and not text someone. i can't believe that some people can't take these things seriously. Texting and driving can be extremely costly! It's just like these people are saying that they don't care enough about their lives, the lives of others, or even life in general to simply focus on driving and text once their car is parked and is not running. It's just beyond me.

I don't understand it,you would think peoples would leave the phone alone when they are driving so they don't kill somebody.

That's what you would think, but it happens. I completely agree with you. I don't understand it either. If you're driving, wait until your car is parked, until you're not behind the wheel. If you need to call someone, there are some hands-free systems that allow you to have both hands on the steering wheel, while still making a phone call. To me, it's that simple.

That is such a dangerous thing to do, I don't know how people think they can get away with it!
I can't even drive a car safely when I'm NOT texting, so it's probably just as well that I don't bother trying!
If you're texing, you won't be looking at the road, which could be really dangerous and potentially fatal.
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to die just for the sake of waiting until I could pull over to send a message to someone.

Hi There!
I am not in favor of driving while texting or vice versa. Simply because it will cause a freaking accident and the driver might not only hurt himself but he would hurt other people too along the way. This is not a safe practice. I have heard lots of news regarding about car accidents for the simple reason that they were not looking on the road because they were trying to text someone while driving then too late to know that they had hit someone or they will hit the wall. Driving requires a lot of focus and attention because it is a serious responsibility whoever who is in the wheels...
Thank you for this discussion. Goodluck! Happy Mylotting and Have a great day!Cheers!

That's a really stupid thing to try or do. Very, very stupid. There are like hundreds of accidents each day because the driver was busy with something else. I hate people that talk or text during driving. You should be concentrated on the damn road. Has anyone sen Seven Pounds? If yes, you know what I mean.

its bad. driving while texting. that is risky and at the same time prone to accident. there are a lot of cases that people got a vehicular accident due to using phone while on the street driving. that is the reason why texting while driving is a violation of the driving rules which has a corresponding penalty. what is the best thing to do if one needs to use the phone on the road. stop at some point of the side road, open the hazzard lights then use the phone after that once finished go back to driving.

I completely agree with you. I used to be one of those people who just couldn't put the phone down while I was driving. Texting and driving almost caused me a few fender benders. Thankfully nothing like that ever happened. Now that I drive with my daughter in the car with me that has all changed.

Text and driving at the same time. 3 words Are you stupid. You will be to preoccupied texting and won't see what your driving into. This can only work if your texting on a traffic light or if there is a really bad traffic jam. But, on regular traffic free streets or highways Driving+Texting=Owned

It is dangerous texting and driving at the same time. But, I will be honest I was one of thouse drivers that texted and drove. What stopped me was when I was working as a emt my partner and I stopped on the highway for a traffic accident. Someone was texting and didnt see where they were going and hit my partner from behind. She ended up a month or so in the hospital. After that I quite texting and driving.

Texting and driving at the same time? yay! that's really dangerous to do.. i've been seeing a lot of drivers doing this st*pid thing. There have been accidents due to this texting while driving habit.. and yet these drivers never learned! you know, the government should implement a law regarding this matter..

Grrr...One of the things that irritate me the most is people talking or texting while driving. I've always said if someone playing with their cell hits me they better hope they kill me because they are gonna be eating a phone! LOL
OK maybe I overreact just a bit but that is one of my hang ups. Drives me crazy. I don't talk on my cell or text or even answer the phone when I am driving. I'll get back with you when I come to a stop or get home which ever comes first! LOL

It is beyond stupid. Have people become so afraid of a real voice to voice conversation that they have to type out what they want to say while they're doing something that requires their undivided attention? Talking on the phone is bad enough when driving but texting is just ridiculous. A friend of mine ran a red light a while ago because he was doing it. WHAT THE F*&K IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE! Then there are kids who are walking along so engrossed in their texting that they walk out in front of a car, get hit and die. Society is going down the tubes.

yes i surely do agree with you. it's really a big deal for me and for sure it's a big no no for me too. back here at my place people here do that too and they don't care about the people around them. or even animals i should say. anything can happen in a blink of an eye what more to say texting while driving! imagine if they run over a crossing dog or even worse a 3 feet child pedestrian! me myself don't text while driving unless i'm caught in the jam. i don't even use handsfree, i just screen my calls and get back to them later when i'm done driving.

People texting while driving annoys me too. I just don't see how a text message is so important that you would need to risk your life for it. I've seen plenty of people on the road with their cell phones out and they make all sorts of mistakes.

I hate this! my sister does this all the time while she drives and it makes me paranoid! I personally try not to answer any incoming calls or texts while im driving since I just want to have my full attention on the road. It is very dangerous to text since you are tring to multi-task and in a split second something could happen so to all those people who do this be careful.

It really does scare the crap out of me. It's bad enough when people who are good at it do it but my mom .... oy vey. I've showed her how to use the word/T9 and she has not grasped it so she's still hitting 222-2-8 to spell cat, 3-666-4 for dog, etc....and every now and then she does that while driving. Usually while stopped at a light but it's still kind of scary!

It pisses me off as well especially when they're just texting something not really important. They are one of the major cause of road accidents. Such selfish people.

not a good one.. Everyone should avoid it unless you want to be in an accident.. I don't think so isn't it????
