There are lots of people with horrible attitudes that are genuine, they're just ridiculously moody. I don't have a horrible attitude, but I certianly have one. I can guaruntee that I'm one of the most genuine people out there. I am one of the sweetest people, if you're sweet to me though.

I generally try to ignore these people, because I don't enjoy spending time with them. I did have a friend in Tennessee who had the attitude that she knew absolutely everything about everything. She started working at my school the same year I did, so we became friends. She didn't have many other friends, but I knew she was alone and lonely, so I just listened to her talk away.

I would still try to talk to them but I would not try to argue with them or make things worse. Find something they like talking about and see if that helps calm them down a bit. If they get out of hand or get me upset, then I would just walk away from them.

Its probably best to try to talk to them or ignore it. But Im bad about goin off on them over it. Espically if they cross a line. For instance my sisters ex boyfriend called me a bit* when I was 14. He was 25 & about 3 times my size. I beat the crap outta him with a metal pipe. He was layin on the ground cring & I was holdin the pipe to his neck sayin "whose the bi*ch now" A friend had to pull me off him. I hate being called that! Another line alot of people cross is either talking about people behind there back or being 2 face. You know how some people try to act like who they are around at the time instead of being them selfs. I hate that. Okay, getting a little of subject here. Sorry. I would like to be able to ignore them but if it goes on for more then a few min. then i lose my patience

i was in a similar situation about 10 years ago where this chic had called me a b**** to and i was so mad @ her i waited for her to get off and work and asked her who was the b**** now and i fought the girl, but that was in my younger days i wouldn't dare do anything like that now. I have changed alot. If that was to happen today i probably would have told her excuse me its Ms.B*****. I dont have time to be fighting thats just not me.

tell them that I will pray for them. That usually shuts them up, and they can't argue with what I've just said :) (my mom taught me that one...pretty cool, huh?)

When I was younger I'd let myself get upset by what they said. As I got older, I realized I didn't care what they thought. I also worked the behavior disordered students at the high school level for 8 years, and I got pretty good and trying to work thru their hostilities. The kind of home lives some of our kids have to deal with, no wonder there are a lot of them with anger management issues.

It really depends on the situation. If I'm working, I pretty much ignore it and do what I need to do. If it's someone that needs to shut up...well I get an attitude. I spent a lot of years not standing up for myself and now I really don't hesitate except for at school and work.
