Is the display photo you use here in mylot is the original you?

My MyLot photo is of the real me. I have other photos of me inside my MyLot photos. I notice too that some people use other faces than their own as their MyLot profile photo. I agree, it does sometimes get confusing. Especially when guys use a girls picture and vise versa. Sometimes members on MyLot don't even post pictures. i don't know what is worse. I rather see a photo. It makes it more fun too. If you are unsure if the photos displayed as a profile picture of those who you have made friends with, just ask them. Perhaps they will see this discussion and respond too. My MyLot Profile picture is of me that I took goofing around with my camera sometime ago. Hope you like it. Yes, the image that is in my profile, and the picture here displayed is the real me. It was taken almost 3 yrs. ago, but this is who I really am. I have never understood why some are afraid to display who they really are here, as for me, I am proud to show myself off, and feel it would not be worth it to not show myself off as well.

Yes. It's a picture of me and four of D.C.'s finest on the occasion of my 23rd arrest for civil disobedience snapped by my friend Jerry as I was being hauled away. I'm quite proud of the picture actually. It occurred outside of Congressman Grassley's office in the capitol. We were advocating for housing vouchers for disabled people who were getting out of nursing homes and he said, "I don't think they should let you people out." I will never forget that quote for the rest of my life, and that's why I knew in my soul that if that man wanted me to move from his office door he was going to have to haul me and my 500 pound chair away or get someone to do it for him.

Mine is the original me. It is myself and my husband in younger days. He is still just as handsome as the picture shows and really hasn't changed a whole lot since this picture was taken. I have gained some more weight but not a lot. We have been married for 36 years and this is the picture I will continue to use as long as I come here which will be for a very long time.

I do not like to pretend that I look different from what I actualy am so whenever I use a photo it is of the real me. Even with the current photo that I am using a person can see what I really look like by using a photo editor. People have their own reason(s) for using other people's photos instead of their own. Several of those on my list are not using their own mug shot. It does not bother me. The content of a discussion is far more important than a pretty face. hello jlamela i just went and changed my avatar just a few minutes ago. and no it is not a picture of myself. lol and it doesn't matter what one has as their avatar around here at Mylot, whether or not it is a picture of somebody or something. the avatar is just a way of expressing yourself. right? take care and have a beautiful evening.
