In my highschool, lots of things were required. The classes I hated the most were math related. I always thought I was never going to use it, like geometry. Do I now? Not that I know of...
What about you?

There are a few things that I learned in math class in high school that I actually still use but for the most part I don't really use that much. My math teacher in my junior year even told me once that unless I was planning on being a math teacher I would never again use what she was teaching me so it ended up being a really fun class to attend. She made us do the work but she taught it in a really fun way. I actually remember more of what she taught me than any other math teacher but it was mostly stuff that I have never needed.

She was one of my favorite teachers and we still email each other from time to time.

my algebra teacher always told me that the subject has practical uses but until now, i wouldn't know any of those practical uses even if my life depended on them. i did come across some internet algorithms in the course of my online work and they looked suspiciously like algebraic equations. i took one look at them and nearly fainted :) my teacher must have been telling the truth
