They said that diabetes is the parent of all illnesses. When I suffered a mild stroke, but blood sugar was found to be above the normal count. Aside from having a high blood pressure, I also have high cholesterol and uric acid. Do you think that if my blood sugar count is controlled, I will not suffer my other ailments?

That is true diabetes triggers a lot of more serious diseases. I think you should be careful now that you have suffered stroke. I suspect that you were diabetic already before you got your mild stroke. Be careful now that your sugar levels are high.

Well, as my doctor told me, diabetes is a life long condition. Controlling your blood sugar is just one of the challenges that come with it. It can help you avoid complications but other factors should also be considered like age, weight, and resistance to illness.
