Look at the picture below - - what do you see and what description impregnates your mind?
The picture below is used to be one of the world's 8 wonders - - BANAUE RICE TERRACES. On my last visit, it is already one among the UNESCO Heritage Sites. The place is blessed with a healthy nature and traditions and culture preserved it along the way but what happened? New generation isn't already valuing something they have been wonderfully blessed.
The green advocacy is rising but it's essence is not worked in unity. The rich splendorous nature and the unique culture is fading away. This is the rich heritage that we have inherited but is now losing its value.
Will the next generation revive it and bring it back to their generation? Will its destruction affect the next generation and even other parts of the world?

Yes. We are really blessed with alot of things in our daily lives. We just have to learn to not take any of them for granted also. I hope it continues in each generation. I hope the distruction slows down or ends.

Hi jeanniemay! I completely agree with you! But with the way things are going, most of us have taken this for granted. We professed love and pride for our culture yet secretly most are wishing to migrate and are envious of their countrymen who were successful in migrating to other countries and hurriedly embracing another country's culture and make it their own. We take pride of the beautiful sights that we have here in our country especially the Banaue Rice Terraces and yet how many have seen it and would rather visit first other country's tourist spots instead of our own. I felt sad when I saw the Banaue Rice Terraces now. I have seen a documentary done about it on tv and how the giant worms are destroying it. I hope the national government will do great measures in saving it and not leave the work only to the local givernment and the private organizations. This is a national treasure; therefore it should be a national concern. I don't want ONLY the new generation to take the burden and responsibility to revive it but I wish we can all start now in our own little way, not only with the Banaue Rice Terraces but all of our sites and the whole environment as well.
Take care and have a great day!
