why do they say costumers always right?

Why do they say costumers always right? I can't understand,.. everyday I'm facing a lot of costumers and I can say costumer always wrong,.. sometimes they look at you like they're paying your life, that without them you can't survive, that you really need to earn their money where in fact they need you too, that without your service they can't do or done their task.

As a business owner, I can say that it is a phrase that helps you cope...
If you keep this mind-set (even when the customer is wrong), you'll be able to better serve your customer. If it weren't for the customer, you wouldn't have a business, now would you? So, the customer is always right, 'cause they 'run' or 'ruin' your business.
