Do you take notes?

I tend to do a lot of research for the type of writing I'm assigned, so my desk is often filled with print-out's, pieces of scrap with scribbles on them, and several notebooks open to various pages. There are other times, though, when there isn't enough material on a webpage or article where I need to print things out. In that case, I have a specific "notes" notebook I use. This notebook is also used to compile all the research I've printed out after it has been highlighted and written all over. :) Do you do this? Do you take notes while you're researching, or do you prefer to work off of hard copy print-out's or photocopies?

Yes, I do take notes, when I do some research. It helps me focus on the reading, and remember what I read and what might be useful. I find it very helpful to take notes, while I do research. It helps me a lot.
