At What Age Did Your Kids Started Reading?

I love reading books ever since I was young. When I noticed that I can read I cannot stop but read every word I can find in every street corner. This has ignited my love on reading books. My son started reading when he was in pre-school but my daughter when she was in first grade. But I actually have exposed them to alphabet letters when they were younger but never really stressed out on letting them learn it. How about your kids when did you start exposing them in reading? Can you remember what age your kids started reading?

My little girl was around 4 or 5 when she first started, but just a year ago is when she read without driving me nuts. I can't stand that reading one workd every 10 minutes. I know we all had to learn, but I have a hard time listen to that. I just want to stay it for them.

Yes, my son learned how to read at that age. I actually just leave them on where they are because I felt there is no need to force them to reading. I wanted them to learn reading at their own pace which actually what happened. My daughter started spelling and reading words almost at the same time which I know she found rather difficult but helpful.;-)
