If you received a letter a day, would you respond?

I just posed a question about writing a letter a day, and it prompted more questions. If you started receiving a letter a day (not from the same person, but from a variety of people who decided to write to you for one reason or another), would you respond? Would you respond that day, or would you put it off? Would you feel overwhelmed if you started receiving all kinds of letters, or would you welcome the experience?

I think that I would be a little overwhelmed. I already have too many things to finish in a day. To add writing a letter or several letters a day just isn't possible for me. I barely have enough time to get my normal tasks finished, let alone adding more to the mix,LOL.

Sometimes I get letters and other times I write letters. I do respond ot letters when they come my way but I may not respond to them right away. I am much more likely to respond to emails than I am to letters. They are time consuming.

I don't usually bother with "what if" questions because they tend to be about making ridiculous choices between things that aren't ever going to happen in real life. In a way, this is the same kind of thing. It's not likely that anyone would suddenly start receiving a letter a day, whether from one person or many. It's posible that someone could suddenly start stalking you via letter, but not probable. Most people have nothing to say that's of any real interest, and that can even applly to people who are your friends. If they wrote once a month, at least they'd accumulate a bit of life experience or some ideas that might be worth reading, but not daily. If a lot of different people suddenly started writing to me (or sending emails, which are usually just spam) I'd wonder what was behind it. Thirty letters a month from different people isn't coincidence, so somebody must have gotten it going. The chances are that the reason behind it wouldn't interest me, and neither would the letters. I'd open the first few to see what it was all about, and after that, I'd probably throw them away, unopened.

I think I would like that. I thought about starting a penpal service online. I feel that most people do not write letters anymore with the online and texting as well. I think that would be neat to get letters from people. I would respond but if I got busy with something else then maybe I would not. I guess it would depend on my mood and what kinda of letter I recieved as well. I would give a try so I hope this answers your question. Happy mylotting to you and have a great day online.
