You might move to another town or your friends just went away for reasons! Then, some of your neighbours, classmates, colleagues would become your old friends!
Most of us probaly have some old friends who live far away from us! Do you still keep in touch with them? I doubt it makes sense sometimes! Consideing some of my old friends for example, they won't call me until I contact them first! So, at some point, the guys don't deserve my attention anymore! On the other hands, if some friends missed me so much that they always called me, I would also associate myself with them often though I lived far cry away from them.
What about you?

I still keep in touch with my friends since elementary and college even some of them are already moved to another country to work or be with their family.we keep in touch via chatting at yahoo messenger and we always have conference chat. As if we are not separated when we chat. We update the latest news about ourselves or other people we know may it good or bad news. We understand each other when we dont communicate that often because we are working and having different working schedule. But we make it a point that we hangout once and a while when we have time. I miss my friends so much but I know in time we will hang out complete like before during high school days.

Hi there,
I am actually staying away from my home town and working in another city, I have been away from my high school friends for many years. Yeah, I still keep in touch with some of my old friends, but not all of them. Usually when I go back to my hometown, I will still call out some friends and have a drink with them. Or when one of our friends is getting married, then we'll have a gathering.
After working and having family, actually I seldom contact with most of my friends, because I am busy with my work and family and also lazy to go out often.

Well, i do sometimes. I try to contact them whenever i can. They all have moved to different places after completing graduation. So everyone is busy in their own lives, i really miss all the fun and the time i spent with them. But all i can do to is to call them and ask how they are, whats going on in their life. But whenever they are here, or on some reuniions i make sure, i met them. Friends can be forever, if you want them to be.
Blessings

I do not keep in touch with any old friends. The people I used to know were not really my friends to begin with. They used me and dumped me to the side and I never heard from them again.

Hi there hiddenwing
In this day and age it should be easy to keep in touch with friends but some to slip the net and get away! I have two great friends in my hometown who I see most times when I am there visiting but everyone else I seem to have lost touch with. I think with me I get fed of being the one that is doing all the phone calling, texting, sending gifts, writing and emailing until I have had enough and sit back and wait for them to pull their finger out, if they don't then I guess that is it!!

Hey there, Ms Simpson! Yeah, I got tired of being the one that is doing all the phone calling too. Haha, if the person who I knew always didn't contact me actively, I would like to just forget him or her. As you know, it is not that fair to us! Haha
Best wishes to you and your family!

Just before I retired, I took my address book around and collected addresses and phone numbers from my coworkers. I thought we'd all keep in touch, but it didn't happen. I did go by the office a couple of times, but the only call I got from any of them was when the boss resigned to take a job with another company. I was invited to her going away party but didn't get to go. I never even heard from one that I considered a pretty close friend who retired just a few months before I did. I've called her, and when I ran into her while shopping, it was "We must get together sometime", which didn't happen. I do keep in touch with a couple of women who moved away before I retired. One of them had left over 5 years previous and the other a couple of years. We write and call each other. Each now live ahalf a continent away but will come see me when in the area.

Hi hiddenwing! Yes I do keep in touch with some very old
friends. Some of them have moved away years ago and we still
manage to keep in touch over the years. We just call each
other now and then. It doesn't matter who calls who we just
stay in touch with each other. In fact I'm really bad sometimes
about picking up the phone, but they call me anyway and I'm
always so happy to hear from them! And some of them have been
my friends for over 25 years! Now that's a very long time!

Most of my friends from high school are people that I dont care to be around anymore. I only keep in touch with maybe two girls that I knew then. One of them lives nearby and has a family. She is usually busy with her husband and children but we call each other to catch up about once every two weeks. The other one has moved away because her husband is in the military. She has been in my lif since pre kindergarten and im sure will be apart of my life for a very long time. During the process of growing up we make friends lose friends and make new ones along the way. I've been lucky enough to find a few that im sure I will keep as friends forever.

Hi Hiddenwing, Yes I keep in touch with my friends that live a distance away. I moved to Devon from Surry about 9 years ago and we all still make an effort to keep in contact. I am still friends with a girl I met on my first day at primary school and although we don't see each other often because of distance we comunicate a fair amount, some naturally fall away but that is life and the changes that happen as people move or get older. Huggles. Ellie :D
