Medical Transcription

Has anybody every done medical transcribing? If so did you get certified over the internet. Is the pay really good as they say. I'm thinkinh about going into medical transcription or nursing. I think the medical field would be a good field to go in because of the pay and with being a nurse I work while my kids are in school and I'll be home when they get out of school.

I seriously wish I knew. I answered this discussion hoping to find replies by others who knew more. I also have been thinking about doing this since money is always tight and I would have to work from home to. What is the schooling requirements? High school? GED? or do you not have to have one? Well, I am hoping we all find that answer soon. Good luck.

I hope you don't mind, I'll be keeping an eye on this discussion. I have been wondering the same thing, about the medical transcription part. I have had other secretarial positions, and I would love to get into this field where I could work from home, and since I am looking at changing job fields, and also will be looking for a job in a few months. I hope that you get some good information for this discussion.
