Just wondering how long everyone's iPod lasts? My friends have iPod nanos and theirs have lasted for around 3 years. Mine is an iPod video and as long as I remember, it lasts for around 4 years already but I have a feeling that it might be dead soon. What about yours? Do you think iPods are durable?

I jsut purchased an ipod touch last week, and I made sure I bought a caSe for it, and I also have a screen protector on it. I sure don't want to get it scratched, nor do I want to drop it. They are way to expensive for that, for sure. It will be interesting to see ho long the battery and the ipod will last, but I am always careful with anyting that I buy. I do my best to make sure I protedt them the best way I can. So far, I am enjoing the ipod touch. It is amazing what you can do with it though. It does a lot more than I thought it did, so well worth the price for sure. Well, good luck to you and happ mylotting.

my current 2nd gen itouch is relatively new. i just got it a few days ago. my last ipod is still up & running. It's an ipod nano 2nd gen as well (i guess). It's been with me since i was in college about 3 years ago. it's really durable coz i'm betting i dropped it a gazillion times already and slept on it almost everynight. it undergone a number of charging as well coz whenever i don't use it, someone else do. my brother even used it to review for his bar exams - recorded all the modules and all. hahaha. :)

I hardly ever use my iPod classic, except when we go on a trip. Then, I couldn't live without it. I load it with a television series or a new movie everytime before we leave on a vacation. I've had it for a couple of years and it still works fine. I've heard you can mail them back in to have a new battery put in them. I do think iPods are durable.

I had a blue iPod nano for a little while but then I left it at a friend's house to charge and when we got back it was stolen. I'm pretty sure that my freind's older brother stole it but I didn't really care because it's just a material possession which isn't worth more then a friendship. I now just use my girlfriend's iPod and hers has a ridiculous amount of space on it and it also has an indestructible case on it as well. Ipod's were a great invention, I mean just think about it a little machine with all of your favorite music and sometimes even plus some.

My ipod video has lasted 3 years, and it's just got a few (or maybe a lot) scratches. I don't mistreat it, but I have stopped using the cheap little case it came with. The screen still looks fine, so I have no problem watching videos on it - just the back is pretty worn out. I think I'll still have the same ipod for a few more years, though I really wanna get a touch...
