Would be interesting to know how many people write a diary and what are they writing about?
I used to write it when was at my teenage years but all it was about boys I like :) Funny, they sympathy changed every week.
Now sometimes I feel like starting a diary but I can't really get started.
DO YOU WRITE IT? DOES WRITING A DIARY HELP YOU?

I did at one time when I was in high school, but my aunt read it and then wrote responses to some of them. I was so mad that I stopped writing one. I got really depressed here not too long ago so I started one up again, getting all of my frustrations out on paper really helped and it also helped me to see what was bringing me down were a couple of my friends that did nothing but complain. So, I got some new friends and my diary entries get happier by the day! It really has helped.

I write daily in a journal, but I used to write in diaries all the time. I prefer journals because they're less restrictive and I don't feel constrained by the pre-dated pages. I'm not sure if they make diaries like that anymore, but that's how mine used to be when I was younger. I've been keeping journals since 1997 (I've filled fourteen 8.5 x 11 inch hardback books), but there was about seven years before that where I stopped writing because others were reading my words. I don't care now, but back then I did. I write several pages per day because I keep my journal next to me the whole time I'm working. It helps me sort through the different thoughts that come streaming in and distracting me from what I'm trying to accomplish. It really helps!

I used to. I was keeping a baby journal for my daughter. I kept at it for a few months. But then I got busy with doing things with her instead of writing about her. I now have a newborn son. This may be a project for my daughter and I to do together. Wow, that is a good idea. My daughter is usually very tenacious, and wouldn't let me forget. Thanks for the inspiration.

I wouldn't call it a diary, but every now and again I will journal. I just take any notebook available and write all night. It's a good way to relieve some pent us anger and stress. I'm always looking for new ways to destress at night and writing a few pages here and there does help ease my mind on certain things.

yes, I write a diary since in high school. And now I'm a mother with 3 children still write a diary. even not in daily, but every time I feel too much thinking of in my head, I share all in my diary and that can make my head and I'm feel better :)
when my youngest kid in 6 months, he got alergy of cow milk protein and some food. I must write daily activity, specially of what food that he eat a day. If something happen, reaction of alergy, I will know the food that make him alergy. Such like that. So, for me to write a diary is really helpful.
