When taking a bath or shower how many towels do you use?

Well I was thinking about this one and wondered if I can find anyone out there like me. I know that I am not the only one who does this or at least I think I am not. I always use two towels. I use one to dry my body off with and one to put my hair up with. I always do this when I get out of the tub. If I do not put my hair up in a towel it drips on me the whole time I am trying to dry off. So it just became a habit for me to use two towels. When I go to get in I just normally always grab two towels. So, am I the only one that does this? If you do do this what is your reason for doing it? Are you like me and your hair is steadily dripping or do you have other reasons? Share with me please.

hello susan
that is nice that you use two towels when you get out of the shower like that. lol but to answer your question about how many towels do i use when i get out of the shower? i only use one towel. i try to squeeze out all of the water i can get out of my hair before i grab my towel. lol then i dry my hair first, then i dry my body off with the same towel. then i put my hair up in my towel while that i am getting my clothes on.
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

I also use 1 towel. first I squeeze the water out of my hair then dry my body. After my body is I put on my clothes then. wrap the towel on my hair. That way my hair won't be dripping and I'm fully clothed too...I always bring with my change of clothes in the bathroom.

I have long hair so I have to use 2 towels or it's hard to get dry as my hair drips as you say. I expect most women with long hair have to do the same thing. I even have a specially designed hair towel that has a loop and a button to make it more secure than just tucking in a towel.

I can guess that you have long hair. If you have short hair like mine, I think you would not need two towels. My hair gets air-dried very easily after washing. So I save another towel to wash.

Hello, You are not alone here. I do the same thing. I always use two towels and then I always hear my hubby saying why do you have to use 2 towels. I look at him each time and say duh because of my hair. I told him that I do not like drying off and then have to deal with getting wet again because of my hair dripping. Plus I prefer to get dress while I am dry and not wet. He tends to use one towel and then gets dress and then his cloths are wet because he does not dry off completely. I told him that it should not matter how many I use. So no your not alone on this one.
Have a great day and Happy Mylotting

Alot of times I squeeze as much water out of my hair as possible put my hair up in a clip or hair tie and then use one towel. If I dont have something to put my hair up with then I use two towels. We recently had two friends move in so sometimes I dont have enough towels to use two. Its always nice to be able to use two towels to be comfortable.

I'm just like you, I use two towels. I usually use a smaller towel to put my hair up right away to get it out of the way, that way I can dry myself off without it continously dripping and getting myself wet again. I dry myself off with a larger towel and then go about my business. Usually I just wrap myself in the larger towel and then go back to my room to dress.

It drives me crazy to only use one towel because I do not want to get all wet again. When I was in the girls home they would only allow me to use one towel and I had to use it twice. Two towels would create more laundry. I did not like having to use one.

I use only 1.
But my towel is huge. I can wrap myself twice in it. Haha.
I normally dry myself off with the entire towel. Then i'm pick the dryer parts to dry my hair.
But i do know of some people who use 2 towels. Like my cousin. one to clean himself, the other to clean certain parts of himself.

I did the same too, using two towels when bathing. I am using a big towel to dry me off then wrapped it in my head so my wet hair won't be dripping on me and am also using another towel to wrap me around. Sometimes if I only have one big towel am using a small or face towel to dry my hair.

I use two towels also. A big one for my body and a hand towel goes around my hair. I hate it dripping also.
My husbands annoys me though. He has two showers a day and uses every towel he sees. He does not have to do the laundry and dry these things. I tell him to cut down on the towels, but I might as well tell the wall, as he never listens.

So you have a clean man and dirty towels. Men never listen to anything we say. They are like kids. It goes in one ear and out the other. LOL

Well, when I take a bath or shower, I always use two towels. I have very long hair and by the time I am finished drying it, the towel is too wet to use to dry my body. If I don't need to wash my hair I only use one towel. I don't know a lot of people that only use one towel, in fact everyone in my house uses two towels,LOL.

No you are not the only one who does this. I have a towel to dry off with and a towel to dry my hair. I have long hair and if I only used one towel by the time I went to dry off my body the towel would be completely soaked. And also like you if I didn't wrap a towel around my hair it would be dripping down on me. It would be hard to dry off good.

Yes it is hard for me to dry off without two towels. It is hard to get dressed if you are not completely dried off. Thanks for the response.

I only use one towel when I'm drying off after a shower. When I was younger, I used to use two towels like you, one for my hair, and one for my body. However, I got out of that, I'm not sure when or why. I just did. I guess there are two advantages to doing it that way. 1)There are less towels being used, 2)I don't have as many towels to wash.

I use the towels twice anyways so it does not really create that much more laundry. Thanks for the response.

Yep, I use 2 towels too. One for my hair and one for my body.
I don't like my hair dripping on me either.
Also, I can reuse the towels the next day. If I know I used the smaller one on my hair only, I can use it on my hair again the next day.

I used to always use two towels when I would take a shower since I couldn't stand my hair dripping everywhere but I finally got tired of having to wash so many towels so now I get by with one. Before I get out I squeeze my hair and get out all of the water that I can and when I get out I flip my head over so my hair isn't dripping on me and dry off and then put the towel in my hair and get dressed and it seems to work well and my hair isn't dripping all over me either.
