If the White house can change, what about local government?

Now that change has come about in the White house is it possible that it can trickle down into our local city and state government? Since I am involved within our community, I see an unbelievable amount of local government corruption and everybody knows it, but it never changes! I tried to make a stand and I even had people rallied together but once you go to confront I was left standing alone! I live in a small town in Midwest America. Mostly everyone that holds an office or has a job within the town is related or good friends. (And no its not in Illinois, lol) If you have a problem at one office you cannot get help at another. The police department is just as bad. I hope that the changes in Washington DC will somewhere down the line impact every town, city and state in America. Does anyone else see this in their hometown?
