Hi. I'm new with the whole "making money online" thing. I made a paypal account a couple days ago. I know you don't have to have a credit card to make an account, but do you need one to buy things on other websites? I made some money and I wanted to buy something, but it told me that I had to give them my credit card number. Do I need to? Or is there another way?
Thanks

Hello there! I also have a paypal account and I have used my credit card to verify it. I also use my credit card to make some purchases. As far as I know, credit card is not required for you to be able to purchase something online. The site is probably asking you for a credit card because you do not have funds in your paypal account. Have you funded your paypal account before you tried purchasing?

Of course it will ask you to put a credit card or debit card. PayPal is online money transfer and not a bank to request for a loan PayPal is not also a financial institution to fund the payment for you. If you have a PayPal balance and the balance can cover the full amount of payment, you make a payment using your PayPal balance. If you don't have a PayPal balance, it will ask you for funding option where you will get the money or source of funds, you can add your credit/debit card or you can use your bank account.
