I know of person who has asthma, and it is relly scary. But I believe that if a person know their condition and take the measure to take care of themself I believe the attack will lessen. And make sure that they always have medication, if incase attack accure they will be able to administer care.

I have moderate asthma myself, when i was younger when i first found out I had it i had to be hospitalized for a week, I remember how scary it was to really have to struggle to breathe and how weak it made me, i could barely stand on my own. I always take my inhaler with me wherever I go now, in the past i would sometimes forget it and when id start to feel alittle constricted and realized I forgot it, i panicked which made it worse :(

yes, i have had to go to the hospital because of an asthma attack and it is definitely not fun. the key is to in order to avoid these attacks is to take your meds when you should, DO NOT SMOKE, stay away from your triggers (for me, it is ice cream, believe it or not) and see your doctor at least every few months to maintain your ashtma.

Yes. It is scary. I used to have severe asthma and now have COPD (because I smoked with asthma). Inhalers should be carried by an asthmatic at all times, as it could save their lives.
I hope your friend is Ok now. Asthma can be deadly. Good advice you have shown up for others.

It's really scary when you have an asthma. I, myself have an an asthma. Thats why I dont go out without my inhaler. There's this incident when I had an attack and I forgot to bring my inhaler. I thought i was going to be hospitalized. Good thing I have cash to buy a new one, and its not cheap either.
