I think it was really stupid on his part. He doesnt understand that eventhough arguably he is bigger than Hatton in popularity Hatton's ability to draw major revenue in the UK rivals that of Oscar Dela Hoya's appeal in the US. That is a very untouched territory for him and for Hatton to agree on a 50-50 split in his homeland is actually fair. Manny should have accepted it beacuse there is no way that he will earn as much money as he would have if he fought Hatton. Yes, there's mayweather however don't you think that fight would be even bigger if he defeated Hatton first?

You will be hurt if i tell you you are stupid also in your idea. Everyone has the right to insist how much he is worth for and that is not stupidity.
For one reason, he wants to tell the people who used to say his fight is rigged. So let us see him fight with a higher price and prove the world what he really was.
Manny has nothng to gain if he fights Hatton, he has climmed four weight class, he is multi millionaire in his country, he is giving away his earning to his countrymen, he is known all over the world, but Hatton I doubt. Thank you for posting.

I just want to know what percentage did they agree on. I know Manny would get a higher pay but I want to know their arrangement.
And this also proves that he is not stupid to not accept the fight before if they want to insist on equal sharing. I think the Hatton camp realizes that Manny deserves better and that if they beat Manny they would be getting more than Manny beating Hatton.
On the other hand i think Floyd Mayweather Jr. is awaiting the winner of the bout so he can fight again and collect more money.
