Have u ever cancel your appointment or dates with friends at the very last minute just because you feel something is not right? I did once. Here is the story, my friend and I agreed to meet at Town A on a Sunday morning. Town A is only 15 minutes drive from my town, Town B. My friend on the other hand, is staying at Town C which is a good 45 minutes from either Town A or Town B. So, the night before, she sms asking me to come for breakfast at her house first before going to Town A. Me, being a practical person, could not find any good reason to drive a full circle to Town A other than her good will of offering to cook breakfast. After mulling on the idea for a while, i decided to called off the whole plan.

Youre not a jerk..:) you just considered some things like saving gas.LOL. But she's just a friend right ? That's okay,if she were your girlfriend then you wouldn't mind going all the way to town c..

You were doing a sensible thing so there is no reason for you to feel like a jerk. Your friend should be the one thinking what she did wrong. Her intention may be noble but I do not think that the value of the breakfast she intended to prepare for you would exceed the cost of you travelling to her house.
Did she ask you why you cancelled the whole plan? Or did you give some excuse before she asked anything? Hopefully this incident will not sour your friendship with her.
all the best,

Well, the way I see it, that really wasn't too bad. I mean, it's not your fault she lives so far away and that is a long way to drive just for a free breakfast...the gas is more expensive than that. It was kinda mean, but she should understand at the same time. Maybe next time, you could agree to meet at a town closer to the middle? I have had that problem before but I went through with it. Turns out I had a horrible time and regretted going. Maybe you would have had a good time, but I wouldn't worry about it.
