when you plugged a device infected by a virus to your computer, how can you prevent it from entering your system without anti-virus software installed in your computer??do you trust your anti-virus softwares?? what do you prefer cracked software, or registered ones??

If i don't have anti-virus software and a virus entering my system:
1) i will check my Windows Register and look what has been change in Register.
2) i will restore my register with a true register
3) Backup your register and optimize your register
4) Check all files, if my file is strange than usually i will delete my file and copy my file backup.
If i have anti-virus software
Now i use Kaspersky Anti-Virus, i trust my anti-virus and it can detected any virus in my computer.Happy Myloting and have a nice day

so you mean I'll make a clean back up of my registry... and if my system got worst I'll delete my registry and restore the ones I've backed up?

hi Zaphan
I am having dual operating system in my computer one is vista and the other one is fedora10 Linux, there is only little amount of virus for Linux and the firewall will block that viruses when there is situation to get data from other systems via a media like CD or pen drive i ll use Linux to copy my data s for browsing also i am using Linux
So use linux for your browsing
if there is virus in your pen drive or in some other media then that .exe file will shown by Linux so we can easily find it out and delete it

I think it will be really tough task to prevent my computer when I am plagging a device infected with virus without an anti-virus. Most of latest viruses are execute by an autorun.inf so we can't stop them without anti-virus. Normally virus files attributed hidden and read only so at first we can't see them if we keep hiddin files enable then can see. Regarding this I keep hidden files show enable always So that I can see what files are abnormal. I use symantec corporate verson and have to trust it. It never failed to detect any virus at my computer till now. Using a registered one and keep upto date with virus definations.
