I drive a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. It has less than 75,000 miles on it, and it was in good shape. My service engine light has been coming on, so I took it to a repair shop and they checked it and said the thermostat was bad. They replaced it and I paid them over $200 and went home. This was yesterday. Now today, my blower doesn't work. They gave me some line about the part being bad and that replacing the thermostat setting it off, and that will be $150+ to fix. Okay, fine. I told them to order the part. Tonight as I'm driving home from school, my car overheats. I was stranded on the side of the freeway for nearly an hour. I finally get my car off the freeway and to a parking lot, and my dad meets me with coolant/antifreeze. He pours it into my engine, and it leaks out as fast has he can pour it in. There is a broken or disconnected hose. I couldn't even get my car home. I got it to the repair place, but they were closed, so I left it in their parking lot overnight.
I wasn't having these problems with my car before they touched it, now it suddenly falls apart. I am extremely upset, and I will be even more upset if they charge me for any of the work to fix it because it was fine before they touched it. Has something similar happened to anyone else?
