I have this friend that she don't like her name. Sofia Sanchez. Too short and to ugly she said. But in my opinion Sofia is cute name. I never think of that even before I really like my name Angeline. Maybe because some names sounds ugly to others so they wish to change it.

I do like my name. It's Courtney and my middle name is Lynn. I think it flows really nicely and it's not hard to say and people never mispronounce it. There are a few names I am not fond of, and some are just mean. I heard someone named their daughter Crystal Shanda Leer.... how cruel. That poor girl probably couldn't wait to get married and change her name! I was always fond of the name Lily. Sofia is very sweet. Sometimes the shorter names are the best, especially when you are in school and have to fill in all those bubbles. Mine takes a long time, but my last name is long too.

So far so good. I've been comfortable with my name for quite a time already. When I was young I used to fing my name rather long. Good thing they gave me a shorter nickname so I used that short name of mine for quite sometime. But as I grew up I was forced to use my real name for legal purposes and found it to be okay already.

I am contented with my name. I like it and it sounds as if I'm a famous actress in hollywood when it was being said fast. Sofia is a cute and girly name and I like it. Well, when our parents choosed the name for us they did not meant to make us funny and ugly with others and they choose that name because they think it wll be good for us and they love us.

I feel good about it, it's just that my short name was given a long nick name, the story was because my cousin can't pronounce R so instead of calling R, it became L...sorry I can't tell it though LOL!I am happy with my name

is it her surname 'Sanchez' she doesn't like? Sofa is a very nice name and sounds good with its pronounciation, too.

I have been given a very good name by my parents and I am thankful to them. With this name itself, I want to excel in fields I enter. I also feel that if one puts in hard work sincerely, he/she gives NAME and FAME to his NAME itself. While on this, there is a co-relation as far as the word itself. While it is NAAM in Sanskrit/Hindi, it is NAME in english. Even the accent and spelling holds almost same in both languages.

My name is Vijay and in the Indian language it means victory so i am quite satisfied with it. Besides it is short and sweet. I don`t want to change it. Many people consult numerologists as they feel that the name that they have been given brings them bad luck so they change it and come out with some odd spelling.Anyway as the saying goes whats in a name.

In my opinion, both Sofia and Angeline are cute names. And there are no ugly names actually. I am sure there must be some means when you are named. Try to figure this out. haha
