I have about 20 grand in student loan debt. I would love to know ways that people have used debt to build a good credit history, and the ways they modified their lifestyle to pay off debt as fast as possible. Life stories, anyone?

Wow that's a lot of debts - I had around 6 grand when I left the university - however I paid it all off 6 months later :)
