Do you think they are fair? Reasonable? Or are they just unacceptable and outrageous?
Here is my thoughts on mylot rules: mylot is an online community forum with very high quality discussions and responses. I think the mylot rules play a huge part in this. Spam and annoying posts in all caps and others are deleted for a reason and I think mylot has the right to do so. I think it is good that we do not post links as that would lower the quality of mylot's discussions and responses.
What do you think of mylot rules?

On the whole, I have no problem with the rules, but this recent setting accounts to inactive, some who I've never seen a problem with, doesn't seem to be making a lot of people very happy.
I do think they ought to set people to inactive when they've been inactive for quite a while maybe even turn those accounts off.

I also think that mylot is being a little too harsh on setting people's accounts to inactive even when they are active. I think if they are going to do this, they should have an option for "on a vacation" where we notify mylot in advance of our leave. Also, since it is a new "feature," I think mylot has some work to do on it. Happy mylotting!

Yes, well every site has those kind of people that ruin it for the rest of us. I hope mylot fixes their system of finding inactive people. However, I think mylot administrators are doing a fabulous job of keeping mylot a great online community. I am sure it is not easy, but they managed to do it somehow.

I do think it necessary to set rules for a website, so that people do not waste time to read meaningless questions or responses. Recently, china is imposing a strict supervision on sites which are not cooperative or quick enough to cancel unhealth photos or paragraph. Maybe moderation should be conducted in a more effective way so that we do not see repeated questions at short intervals.

MyLot rules are fair and reasonable. We should not complain about the rules. We were never forcedto join nor prevented from leaving. So if we do noy like them we can leave.
There are people who are dissatisfied with the rules. I found a blog/posting at another side, criticising among other things the'police' nature of myLot. I believe without rules and enforcement this site would be at least become uncontrollable.
In summary thr rules habe been holding myLot's integrity.
all the best,
rosdimy

I think you are right and agree with everything you said. We can leave if we do not like the rules as there are more people who want to stay and mylot cannot change the rules for just one person. If there were no rules, then mylot would not be the kind of site it is today. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and happy mylotting!

I don't mind the rules. I think it's good that delete the spam and annoying posts on here. I have only been on this site like 2 weeks now and I find it a completely enjoyable place. The spam might push me away. I like mylot just the way it is right now :)
