how do you feel about boys having two middle names? my husband does not think that this is right but our first son has two middle names which are Allen, Eugene the reason I did this was because I wanted him to have a name from both sides of the family Allen comes from his dad and grandpa on his dads side, and Allen comes from my grandfather and his fathers grandfather I didn't see anything wrong with this but he says only girls should have two middle names do you think this is right or not?

There's nothing wrong with it. It's just a preference. It's most common to have one middle name but there are lots of people - men and women- with two middles names or none. My Dad wanted one of his kids to be named Dan for his first name. Not Daniel, just Dan. And he knew that people would call him Danny at least while he was little & perhaps as an adult so he named him Dan E. No middle name just an initial. Two of my grandkids (boy and girl) have two middle names. Prince Charles has three middle names - Charles Philip Arthur George as do his sons Prince William Arthur Philip Luis and Prince Henry Charles Albert David. I worked with a guy once who's family was devoutly Catholic. They had a kids, a mix of boys and girls. Each had two middle names and the second of those middle names was Mary as tribute to their faith. If Eamon had been the only boy in the family and was stuck with a middle name of Mary he might have been embarrassed enough to develop a complex about it, but since it was kind of a unique thing that he shared with his brothers as well as his sisters he was proud of it.

I see nothing wrong with your choice. Especially if you chose to only have one boy. For me i rather not have two middle names. Everyone is different.

I see nothing wrong whatsoever with having 2 middle names. It's a practice that is more common than most people think. My father had 2 middle names, one for each grandfather, and he was born was back in 1918. There are many other (much older) male relatives that also have more than one or two middle names. My one niece has 3 middle names. One thing about having more than one middle name...it makes a persons official/legal name more unique. I've seen where having more than one middle name was beneficial in proving who you are...like when other people have the exact first, middle (or middle initial), and last name. You only have to look in the phone book to see the pages upon pages of people named Smith or Jones to understand what I mean (and if you ever had to call one of them, try having to call 5 or 6 different 'Tom A. Smiths' till you find the right one lol)
