Did you sing songs in school?

We used to sing songs in primary school, during assembly as a whole school. We sang some songs that were religious and some that were not. we sang a song called little boxes which was apparently a pop song in the 60's.But the one that sticks out most in my memory is "any old Iron" its a REALLY old song, and I have no idea why we had to sing it. But i love it.It's a song written by a man called William crimp, better known as Harry champion,born in 1873. What songs did you sing in school and which one/s were your favourite?
