Is it wrong that i eat bacon when my bf hates it?

My boyfriends background is Lebanese. Although he's not truly a Muslim he is spiritual and has certain beliefs. He Believes that Pork is disgusting and shouldnt be eaten and hates if i eat it. We plan on getting married but told me he doesnt want pork in our relationship. Im a chicken girl so i can do without, but should i not eat it in respect for him. Or if i want it should i still eat it not worrying about his thoughts.

If bacon is something that you enjoy, then by all means you should eat it. If the one you love doesn;t like bacon, they don't have to eat it. they don't have the right to take the pleasure away from you.

Well, it would be nice wouldn't it? After all, how important is eating bacon to you in a world where millions starve?

no, it' not wrong for you to eat it. it's against his religion, not yours.
it's good to respect his feelings, and not prepare it on the same surfaces as you're using for his food, without it being washed in between.
but if you were a vegetarian, would you expect him to give up meat whether he liked it or not?

There is a compromise here. After you get married, you can eat bacon outside of the house and agree not to bring it in. I know several people fro mixed marriages who find that a fair workable compromise.
