Is it possible for other websites to block your IP from accessing them???

Right now i cannot even log-in to yahoo to check my mails and this thing is making me mad, and what makes me worried is that it is not yahoo which I cannot access, even other sites like SOP are not accessible
Is it possible for some websites to block your IP so that you cannot access their site?????????????

Then I see no reason why they should block you. Delete your cookies and such and try again, if that doesnt work try reading up about flushig your DNS that could be the problem. I see no reason why a big site such as Yahoo would ban you for no reason, this is highly wierd :S

May be your Internet Service Provider are experiencing problem for international connections. Try sites existing in your country, is also problem?
