referrals?!

So I have been hearing over and over the best way to clock up the $$$ is to get referrals and pplenty of them...thing is, I have already asked my friends and so far no luck :( How do I get more? any tips ppl? Thanks =)

You could try referral exchanging which means you and someone else would agree to be active referrals for each other, cash back offers, programs like TargetRefs, or something else such as building a mailing list.
A mailing list is a group of people who gives you their name and email address in exchange for you to send them valuable information about something you know (example: making money online). The successful internet marketers use these and they are making lots of money online.

"how do you go about making a mailing list"
Have you been to any web page which tells you about something and in order to read the next page with detail information, you have to first put your name and email into fields and push the submit button?
This is how people are doing it and are using a mailing list program to handle multiple lists and the emailing. A popular one seems to be Aweber but that has fees. Free ones exist too like RapidResponseBot.
"finding people who are interested"
They have to come along.
Place a form on your web page(s) and those interested in getting information from you will subscribe by giving their name and email address.
"making sure that you benefit financially when the act on what you send?"
Add your referral links to the messages you send.

thanks for your repply...but a dummy question: how do you go about making a mailing list and finding people who are interested and then making sure that you benefit financially when the act on what you send? sorry the whole thing kind of baffles me atm...as i said in the comment above, im a newbie..Id really appreciate a lil leg up if you dont mind =) thank you so much

Hi there cassia82 I am not sure. I have only two referals so I am sure myself. Here is an idea I have try myspace if you have one, see if you can get some of your friends to sign up with your link. Also maybe you could go through your email list of contacts as well and send a friendly message out that you signed up with mylot and explain what it is about and that you would like your friends to join. These are just a few ideas I came up with for the moment I hope this helps. Welcome to mylot and have a great day online!

there are a few sites that help promote your banners and that for referrals but doesnt mean you get many form it.
also if you dont ahve a blog yet i would create one with all your links on it. i have about 10 blogs out there and i have gotten a few good referrals from my blogs.
other than that i dont know because i myself sont have many referrals on my sites.
