Is it possible to earn the kind of money promised in adverts?

ok simple question, when you see the adverts on banners telling you that you can earn £100`s. Is it even slightly possible or are they pie in the sky? has anyone earned more than a few bucks by chasing these banners and stuff?

the amount of sites ive registered to like what you have questioned havent given me as much as a dime for anything i think they are mainly cons just to get a mailing list so they can send junk mail

It may me possible but it works for only one person in a thousand because no body will give you money for free they pay you unless they get a amount which is ten times more what they pay you.
