So on tonight's epidode of Grey's Anatomy, Izzy supposadly said her last goodbye to Denny which I thought was long overdue. They've carried on her talking to a dead guy for far too long into the series and it's been getting slightly cheesy. Does anyone else see this "goodbye" not lasting long? I see him coming back at some point in the near future!

He is her Reaper. But she chose to live instead of to go with him. Whether or not he's really gone is hard to tell.
In August the TV Guide channel does a Fall primetime preview and in that there was talk about the development of the relationship between Alex and Izzy and the writer/director/producer/whoever was talking - I don't remember who it was - said, "I hope that puts an end to the rumors we're killing her off." *shrug*

That was around the time that there was a lot of contraversy about the pay struggle that ABC was having with her and there was a lot going on with people speculating that ABC would just cut her from the show. I guess I just didn't completely grasp what was going on in that last episode. Do you think that she's going to end up dying due to some illness and he'll be back to take her to heaven?

I don't think I would stop watching the show because I am a complete sucker for that show but I think it would take part of it away. I do think that what they've done for Izzy's charachter this season has taken a lot of her pizazz away though already.

I wonder.... Izzy's my favorite character, partly because Katherine Heigl is one of my favorite actresses and has been for the better part of a decade (She was also my favorite character on Roswell). I don't know if I will enjoy the show as much without Izzy. We'd have to wait and see but I might even stop watching.

He is not going anywhere till Izzie gets her self checked . I believe Izzie is sick' He keeps telling her " I am here for you, I am here for you!!! He is there wating so she doesn't die alone .....

I wondered about that, she asked if she was sick in the last episode but they didn't go too far into that. I wondered if it was supposed to be one of her many rants or if it was an idea of what was to come.

If this is truly where they have been going with the whole Denny thing, I think they've pulled it out for way too long. They should have given at least a hint of it before because it's just been ridiculous how long it's gone on!! I saw the look and all the hints they dropped in this episode, so it does make me wonder where they are going with this!

I think Izzy has a brain tumor or similar. Remember the episode awhile back with Meredith and Derek doing their experimental brain surgeries? They had one patient that said she had this wonderful boyfriend, but no one had ever seen or talked to him. Her family did not believe he was real and Derek said that was a symptom of the tumor she had. Then he showed up after the surgery to hear how she was never going to wake up. He was real! Sad. Sooooo......that's why I think it's a brain tumor. Also her comment about how she thinks she's sick. I'm curious to see what's next.

Wow, I really hadn't thought that far back but that was an AMAZING connection that I never would have made myself. That does set me to wondering. I was figuring they would diagnose Izzy with a terminal cancer or something which is just depressing because I really like her on the show but I never thought about Denny just being a symptom of the illness. That really shocks me that I never made the connection to that previous show!! Great insight on that one!

I think that he was there because Izzy is sick. He said, I am here for you, meaning he will be there for her threw her sickness to bring her to heaven.
It has been weird up until now! I mean that she could touch and feel him! I thought she was going crazy, but after this episode, I am sad. I don't want Izzy off the show.

I agree they've dragged Denny's character out for way too long. Though according to www.GreysAnatomyInsider.com/categories/spoilers/ Denny will be around until March. This week's episode showed (in my opinion) that Izzy is really sick and going to die. And Denny was there to make her realize she was sick. Maybe they'll give her brain cancer? I am just hoping they don't take her off the show.
The vibe I got from this week's episode was that this was the last season. All the characters, like Meredith, Dr. Bailey and the Chief, seemed so emotionally spent.
I hate that they are making us wait 2 weeks for more info. My dh laughs his head off when they leave the show just hanging there. It drives me up the wall.
