My daughter has been on a Disney movie kick here lately. We have about a dozen of them that we keep rotating through but I am getting sick of them. So, tell me what yours or your friend's favorite Disney movies are? Why do you like them so much? Help me make some new choices.

We have a pretty sizable collection of Disney DVDs. I think that the PIXAR studios movies top the list of my favorite Disney movies. Wall-E, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., and Finding Nemo top that list for my family. Though they are not really Disney movies and aren't really suitable for really young children, all of the Studio Ghibli movies are really good: Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, The Cat Returns, Howl's Moving Castle, and My Neighbor Totoro are a few examples. My Neighbor Totoro is actually one of the better ones for younger children. The others might be fine, it just depends on the child. I think, though, that my favorite Disney movie right now is Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. While I enjoyed all three, I really like the first one the best.

I like those Pixar movies too. I need to buy Monsters Inc to add to our collection. I am really looking for movies or the kiddo so the others would be out. I really like the Pirate's series too.

Hmm... I belong to the Disney Movie Club. Is it the same thing?

By the way, if you buy a lot of Disney movies on DVD or Blu Ray, be sure to register for their free Disney Movie Rewards. A lot of the DVDs include a code that you enter into their website. You earn points for the codes. The points can then be exchanged for items. Not bad to be rewarded for something you are doing anyway.

My sister absolutely loved The Little Mermaid growing up. I cannot count the times we watched that movie. She even walked around telling everyone she was going to be a "merdmaid" when she grew up! LOL. I love the songs in that movie. I'll have to invest in that one soon. I think my daughter will love it.

That is still a favorite of my daughter. She pretends that she is a mermaid all the time.

Ice Age, while it is a really good movie, is actually created by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox - not Disney. While I was not expecting it, Wall-E was really good! For some reason, the movie didn't appeal to me (or my family) when we originally saw the commercials. As a result, we didn't see it until it came to DVD. I am pleased to say that we now have the DVD in our collection. I absolutely LOVED the Burn-E short that they included in the special features...so funny.

I really like Ice Age too. I need to see the second one, I haven't seen that one yet. I heard Wall E was really good! I've got that one on my Netlix lineup to check out, I'll have to bump it up in line.

I am fond of watching Disney movies since i was a kid. I already watched pinocchio, little mermaid, Snowhite, cinderella and even the contemporary ones. At whatever age, I maybe I'll still watch it and recommend it to our future generations.

Yes, I do like the classic Disney movies too. They are pretty expensive though so I have been waiting for some extra money so I can add them to our collection.
