Have you noticed how the new Cheetos Commercials are incouraging bad behaivior?
I know I have stopped buying that product because of their commercials, anyone out there like I am about things like that?
I won't support many places like Wally world or MickyD's either due to personal beliefs I hold very true.
I am just curious to see how people feel on some of the commercials that we are seeing now and if they are taking it a bit far sometimes.
As always,
Thaanks for your responces beforehand.

I hardly ever watch television, being that I am mostly online doing something on my computer. That means that I have not seen the commercial. However, it does not mean that I don't read.
Based on what you mentioned about the cheese an the white coat, the makers of the commercial probably thought it was funny, & probably thought it would make for a good laugh. At the same time, & I have experienced this myself. No matter how funny something might be to people, there is always that possibility that one may not find it funny, & another possibility, someone else might find it offensive. As much as people laughed at a Saturday Night Live skit where they showed an actor playing New York State Governor Patterson, who is legally blind, doing clumsy things from his handicap, people did get offended. Someone even posted a discussion claiming that they found it offensive & tasteless.
I'm not a big fan of Walmart either. The way they treat their employees, & sometimes, even customers needs a lot of improvement. Some of the things they do is against the law, but somehow, they manage to get away with it.
I have not really been a supporter of McDonald's, or any other of those fast-food places either. I just don't like the idea of empty calories that are probably doing more harm than good.

I always love your responces, not because you agree all the time but they are well put together and make sense with out making another feel degraded or 'wrong' for the way they feel. I lived with Wally world people and saw what you were talking of.
On the Saturday Night Live skit, I know of what you talk. I am on the fence on that one, but I am here in NYC so there are reasons beyond the satire used. Even lil bush did not complain when they made fun of his handicap.
I dropped the fast food because it allowed me to help drop over 250 pds naturally.
Thanks again,

As an artist myself, I can't do that. I respect your position on it though.

what are some of the cheetos commercials you refer to? (I don't watch much TV so I'm totally in the dark here.)

There was an annoying gal who was wearing a white coat and a lady who did not like her hugged her making sure the cheese was all over the coat.

I agree with your words of what you say. very wise by the way. I think that is the point I was trying to make, yes we may know it is bad behavior but that a child in school with a white coat and the other child in school wont know it is not ok and may find it funny. I will not support such because to me it is wrong, I don't expect the world to subscribe to my beliefs, few do.
As far as the others you talk of, funny thing is, I don't buy that stuff or watch those shows and I honestly did not know what you shared. Now it just makes me more aware of what is out there and if I am going to say it I best stand behind it.

Wow, I think I've seen it all. They aren't promoting bad behavior, they're just trying to sell chips. I've seen the commercials, and I feel like they just did it because Cheeto sauce gets all over your hands. I don't think that someone is going to go out and rob a bank because of a Cheeto's commerical. It's not a bad commercial, people are just WAY too sensitive.

Wow I keep saying the same thing except in a different veiw. Heaven forbid I might have an opinion that might be offensive or different than accepting the media norm. I will have to remember that when I am writing for a persons life simply because after all, media affects no one or how they think.
