Are you REALLY smart?

Can we really know if we're intelligent? Isn't the "standards" for intelligence skewed because the same group of people who make the tests are the very people who are considered "smart" by that test? For example - the people with high IQ are the same people who write IQ tests. And the people who have high EQ are also the same people who write EQ tests. So where's the justice in that? What if someone is "an intelligent mechanic" but fails both tests? Isn't he STILL a genius in his own field? But who will call him a genius when no test can prove it?
I'm tired of people saying "nothing is impossible"
Well guess what, it's impossible for me to earn a million dollars *at this very moment*. Doesn't that mean somethings are impossible? I'm not talking about changing someone's past or about messing up with the time-space continuum. This is plainly "a matter of fact". SOME things are IMPOSSIBLE.
I think people who say that "nothing is impossible" are trying to run away from reality. It's not only annoying, it's not only impractical, but it's a shame. We must all embrace who we are and what we are - our limitations and our potentials. That doesn't mean to stop aiming at the stars - I guess it all depends on how great you see mankind.
Reality. Not Fantasy.

"Nothing is impossible". like u said, every one are genius in their field.
you can say that some one smarter than you when they better than you when you compare it.
the people with high IQ or EQ, is not always smarter than you, like u said again that see the reality. the test is just the theory. what about the fact?

Well you know what you're right ..I'm tired of people telling me that i can score a full 100/100 in something I've never tried and i don't know sh*t about..I mean I'm scoring well enough in subjects I'm good at but no one appreciates those ...It is annoying and i really cant help it..Its about time people faced some reality

I am not the smartest person the world. I always work harder than others even though I am not the smartest person. Longtime ago, when I was starting the work as a medical transcription my friends were earning double the money in the office of what I was earning. I then thought even though I am not a smarter person, I can definitively work double to get the same amount of money they are earning. I started to work another 8 hours at home working on home transcription and also worked 2 more hours at the office than others were working. I was pretty happy that I earned more money than any others calculating my home work and office. I think there are lots of things we can't do in our life, but there are lots of things we can do even though we are limited with our restrictions.
