I was about to verify and withdraw my money in my paypal account using my bank account. I entered my bank account number but I was asked to give also my credit card number. I don't have a credit card, so I stopped verifying and withdrawing my money in my paypal account.
Can I just give my bank account number when asked for my credit card number? I appreciate your help. thanks.

Hello dorisday1971. If I am not mistaken, you can't do that. You can't verify your Paypal Account using your bank account. Credit card is the only way to get your Paypal Account be verified. But don't worry, it is very safe to put your credit card number in Paypal. If you want, you can use the EON card. EON card is specially design to verify your Paypal Account. You can avail it at the Unionbank. I hope that helps. Happy posting..

The EON card cost 350 pesos and you need to deposit at least 200 pesos to be able to link your card to your paypal account easily. The good news is, there is no maintaining balance requirement for EON account.
You may check the Unionbank's website for more details or information.

may i know what card you're using? most of paypal users in the philippines use EON card. EON is a union bank visa card. From your paypal account, you can transfer funds to your EON card (upon the approval of the bank). When you use your EON card, all you need to know is the card number (placed at the front of the card below your name).

I need a little help on this subject matter. To be more specific, I was able to verify my account with Paypal through linking my account with Unionbank, particularly the EON account. However, I was contemplating on whether I am going to encounter any problems because when I checked my Paypal account, I noticed that it was indicated there that I linked a credit card. Honestly, I don't have a credit card with Unionbank. What I have and what I attached or linked in the Paypal site was my savings account with the same bank. Will this matter or will this pose a problem for me when I decide to transfer the funds from Paypal account to my savings account with the local bank?
Further, I haven't done any monetary transactions regarding Paypal. But I'm interested to know the steps on how to transfer funds from Paypal to EON account for future transactions. Would you be kind enough to share with me (and other mylotters) the process?
Thank you so much in advance and I'm looking forward to your favorable reply.

I guess I will just be using an EON account to avoid complications. It's a lot easier and cheaper. thanks for responding.

you can still withdraw your fund through bank account without verifying your bank account. All you have to do is follow the instructions that given by the paypal on how to withraw funds. But if you like to verify your paypal you must have your credit card or debit card.

I already have the IFCI code. But still I'm asked for my credit card number even if I opted to use my bank account number. Thanks.

Yeah, EON account is cheaper, You only have to pay P350 for the annual fee and it's a lot easier to apply. You only have to give 2 valid IDs and wait 10 banking days for the card.

I am so far from receiving any money from paypal that I don't know.
I can't remember what happened when I opened up this account and I haven't as of yet used it.
It seems to me that I did have to give my bank account and the only credit card that I use is the one that you have to put money on before you can use it.

You mean, you are receiving money even if you aren't expecting from other sites? That would be much generous for paypay if that's the case. LOL.

I don't know how it is now, but in the past you could do that. All you had to do was put in your bank, your account number and routing number. They would make a small deposit (2 seperate deposits) under $1, and you would have to put in the deposits on Pay Pal to verify it's your bank account. Before simply a credit card wasn't enough.

Hi Dorisday yes you can do it and i have done it and my first payout was sent to my bank account only and i was more than happy to receive it and i hope you will aslo be benefited..if you are from a country which is popular in the world market then you can easily do it and you should not give your bank number when asked for a credit card number you have to check the options for veryfying the bank account and then verify your bank account only...

I withdraw my money in paypal account using my bank account.you just enter the 4 digit number that you can see at the back of your cardor the best thing you do is to contact your bank about this,I am using an EON card of Union bank and this card i think is accredited by the Paypal.

The EON card is the most preferred by many. I was just banking on the idea of using my bank account to avoid paying the annual fee for an EON account. Thanks.

Nope! you must verify first your paypal before you can withdraw your funds. Bank accounts can't be used to verify paypal. You need a credit/debit card with a visa logo. I verify my paypal last week ago using my eon account and withdraw my funds this week using also my eon account. You can only used your bank account for adding or withdrawing funds but not as verifying your paypal account. Just apply for an eon card, it's a cheaper way to verify your paypal account.

Yeah, EON account is the most preferred by many. But I want to use my bank account so I won't be going to the ATM machines to withdraw. I want everything online. Thanks for responding and welcome to mylot.
