Usually I went on playing because I wanted to see how far I could go in a bad situation. Once I thought I was going to lose a Firestorm game (that was a few years back) but I persevered and eventually won the game.
I am a perfectionist, in the sense that I prefer completing a task however difficult it may be. As long as there is some hope I would try to continue until it becomes impossible to do so.
Even though I am old I do still play strategy based games whenever I had the time to do so. I believe such games help to keep the brain cells active.
all the best,

Yeah, i do that sometimes but definitely not Pacman. I want to start that game in a good mood so getting beaten by a ghost earlier than expected is pretty frustrating hehe.
The game Firestorm is kind of familiar. Is it a jet game? Yeah like i still play strategy games form time to time. But that's a good attitude to finish the game against all odds.

It depends on the game. Take a game like Gradius. I've practiced the game quite a bit and have never made it past the third level. Even now, I'll make a mistake on the first level. So, I'll just purposely die really quickly and then start over. I need to make sure I'm not tired and my eyes aren't strained when I play that game. Now, if it's an easier game like Super Mario Bros., I probably wouldn't start over.

It depends on the game. I don't like to think of myself as a quitter, so I will often play on and try to get to grips with things. But if I am going for a high score or something, then re-starting is sometimes the only option.

No!In the very start,if I happen to stuck with bad start,I like to restart the game again. It is very tense to continue playing with a bad start.Rather starting all new game is mind free.At least we are capable of reversing the game, which we can't do in real life.Cheers!

well although it is always possible to recover and that is the most challenging thing . if you are playing well and won the first match and had a good start then you are full of confidence and that time a lot of things happen for you. but it is real Tough to win when you had bad start. that time if you can change things then you are a true fighter.

No as a matter of fact I'm not. A game is just that a game. Start then finish and if you had a lot of fun good if not there is something wrong. start over. My little great niece is good about loosing and winning. But her cousin is one of those that if winning is always I'm winning and your not. If she starts to loose she stops playing the game. You have a good day your friend onlydia

When I'm playing an action game like my favorite Push Push Penguin, I always restart the game when I go off to a bad start, like losing a life in the easy stages, or not completing all the bonus stars. But I'm only this way with this particular type of games.

I usually restart mine too if I got off to a bad start. I feel like that session was jinxed and I have to start a new one so that I would get a better score.

I restart my game. I would be disappointed with a bad start and i am not going to enjoy continuing the game, and it would distract me. Refreshing or re-starting the game will surely do the trick for me to play better and harder.

I usually will restart if I'm doing awful. It's better to have to repeat a few minutes of gameplay, rather than come to the near-end with no lives, and one mistake takes you back to the beginning anyway.
I also enjoy getting the maximum number of points, or making sure I complete every challenge I can before going on. I leave no chest unopened.
Also with games like guitar hero - sometimes if I miss a note halfway through a song I know I can get 100% on, I will restart and make an effort to get that note especially the next time :P I love to see 100% when I finished a song, with 800-note streak...
