I got a friends request a day ago it said.
and when I went to see about it it told me that person was set to inactive and they only had 12 posts or responces.
What in the world to you do with that one!?
Had to deny for if they not there cant post to them or reply. hmmm. cant even find out how long they been member nothings about friends or anything on the page.

Get rid of it and move on. And, don't forget about the scammer duplicates members profiles. I guess what I am saying is to be cautious.

I have not had that happen to me yet. I accept everyone normally it seems there is no harm in that. I notice though I seem to respond to people that are out of my friend list though. I look for discussions that spark an interests in me and then I respond to them. I need to keep more on top of my friends list that way I can be a good friend on here. Thanks for opening my eyes to this. Good luck with the discussion and happy mylotting to you. [em[happy[/em]

Yep,
I responded to a couple of discussions with a couple of responses, came in this morning to see that my response was the only response left on the discussion.
Strange very strange but not unusual for a well moderated community.
I'm a member of another community and the forum owner and I talked about why my post should be removed. Now that is a really cool community...
All in all very enlightening...
Peace and Blessings,
Sincerely,
Gary

Hi my friend. With all the imposters and trouble makers around the last couple of days that doesn't surprise me. I'm not approving anyone who doesn't have at least 100 posts or more. For the time being anyway, at least until things settle down.
Seems that myLot has changed the way it handles banned or closed accounts, instead of leaving the profile up, they completely wipe it out. I supposed that is the best way to handle it. Makes things easier so you know right away that they are no longer a member. No more having to guess if they are still around or not.

That's no joke... wow just like the carnival side show... ya never know what the freaks are going to look like til they pop up in front of you. This side show sure had a lot of almost identical twins.

Don't understand why the admin do that. I am also surprise to see that many members are set on this mode. Are they banned or they are inactive. But as you say that person has just requested to be your friend and now set to inactive. It keeps my mind wondering too.

I don't blame you for denying, seems that person decided to join then had second thoughts about it. Anyone who needs a friend that is inactive. Like you say you can send messages or anything else.

Wait . . . somebody who was inactive requested to be your friend? That is a little strange. It's weird that they were even able to log in. Oh well, you have enough friends here anyhow, Lakota. And we're active. Hope you have an awesome weekend.

There was someone going round making accounts and calling them names that were already in use with a variation of the spelling. They were also taking that same person's avatar. They were visiting discussions and saying silly things and requesting friends as well. The mods have been deleting posts and accounts but she's a bit hard to catch up to.

Sounds like maybe you were hit by one of the many "impostors" that was wrecking havoc here the other night...I'm almost surprised that I didn't get a friend request from one of them...whoever it was that person was sure busy

I also visited such members profile who are set to be inactive but could not understand what is the matter, also could not understand the rules in mylot.com I am a member here for last 2 years and till last week I have never posted any links and banners in my profile page but I found that so many members use to post their banners on their profile and so I also placed few of my banners here in my profile, now don't know whether they are allowed or not, also the mylot management never send any communication mails or notification related to the site, also the pay rate are very unpredictable I hope the management hear will read and work to make mylot.com more transparent and clear and also help us to make more money so that maximum members can remain active here, thanks

That does sound strange. I recall you mentioning this incident when we were chatting by phone.
I checked a couple of friends pages and they were just blank...white...notta...nothing. With not being here for so long I have no idea what changes Mylot has or has not made to the site but have never had anything like what you did happen.
Another one of those oddities that you may never have an answer for. Oh well...the wonderful wacky world of forums...keeps life interesting.
Hugs to you my Buddy!

I get same request. Maybe the person was here for self promotion and started wrong discussion.
I was not able to see anything except the note that the account is inactive.
I denied the request, but I start thinking what the difference if I would accept the request....

I usually accept my friend's request, and I figure if I do not, even if that person is inactive, they will keep requesting again and again until one gives in. Maybe that person thinks you just have to be a friend in order to get paid and you do not need to do anything like writing or answering discussions.

Hi lakota! I wouldn't worry about it! There have been alot
of strange things going on here lately! People have been
in and out here and back! So I would just forget about it
for now and see what happens. Alot of people have been starting
over lately and closing their accounts for one reason or
another so just wait and see. Mylot is fully of mysterys!
