I wonder what caused him to do such a thing. I am almost afraid to think that he could somehow be involved in the disappearance or even the death of little Caylee. Any thoughts? ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- The grandfather of a slain Florida toddler is in a hospital after he was reported missing and sparked concerned that he might be suicidal. Police spokesman Jimmie Flynt said George Anthony was found at a Daytona Beach motel early Friday morning with a note that indicated suicidal thoughts. He was then taken to Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach, where spokeswoman Salina Wang said he would be admitted after being observed. Anthony was in stable condition. Flynt said investigators found Anthony by locating signals from his cell phone and a description of his car. http://www.11alive.com/news/national/story.aspx?storyid=126029

I was really surprised by this. I was down in Florida at the time that the remains were found. That seemed odd in that they had searched that area a couple of times and all of a sudden there was something to be found, so close to the grandparents home. Now this business with the grandfather.... This case just gets more bizarre. It would really be shocking if the mother ended up innocent after not reporting her child missing for what was it, a month? It's all too awful.

I really do not think the mother is innocent, perhaps not the actual murder but there are too many things against her in the whole case.

It could also be that he is very grieved, thinking that they have lost Caylee and that his daughter is implicated. There are so many possibilities in this case that still need to play out before the truth is known.

Hi Yankee, hope you and yours are well. I don't know how those parents lived with Casey during the period of time she was out on bail without getting some information out of her. I think that they did get info, tried to help their daughter since it was too late to help their granddaughter and, now, are either riddled with guilt about the part they played or scared that they too will be charged. I have heard more than once that they have been asking for immunity yet there's never any indication of what it is they need immunity from.
