Do you claim your earnings on your taxes?

I know it's an oddball question. But what makes me wonder this is someone on a thread a few weeks back said someone cashed out $10,000 now if they were here in the US they'd have to claim that forsurly in their income taxes.
DO those of you whom make more than $600 in a yr from various online money makeing sites claim it? Just wondering.... is this is one thing keeping me from being a secret shopper, I don't understand how I need to go about claiming anything.

i really wonder if that person was stretching the truth that said that. its hard to believe anyone can make that much doing this online stuff. they would have to work 24/7 id think

Yes if you make over than amount you have to claiming it when you do taxes. There is not really anyway for them to find out you made that money unless you give your s.s.n. out to the people paying you.

As a business owner I claim every little dime that I make because I do not want to have any problems with the taxes. So I claim my money, but I also do free lance writing and a alot of self employment task. So what I do to cover myself is take and set aside close to 40% of all money I make to pay for taxes. Then quarterly estimates can hurt to.
