I vote for Coldplay's "Viva La Vida." The song is A++++.
Sadly, it only spent one week at #1, and was booted out of that spot by a song I cannot stand, "I Kissed a Girl" last summer.
"Viva La Vida" had a message. You can be riding so high at one moment, and be brought down to disgrace at the next. Such happened to our beloved former president, George W. Bush.
What is your favourite song of '08? Why? Let's talk about it.

I'd go for "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. I'd never get tired of listening to this song. It's so relaxing!

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but Coldplay's song Viva La Vida has recently been taken to court because it apparently sounds remarkably similar to one of Joe Satriani's songs. I also believe that he won the case and the truth is that he is a much better song writer then Coldplay but I didn't respond to bring you down I just thought you should know. My favorite song of 2008 would be really hard for me to pick but I think that my favorite song would be Lateralus by Tool.

I liked viva la vida (but yeah I think violet hill is better).
Also, I like I Kissed a Girl :D It's a nice song, if a bit weird. Katy Perry has a good voice, the lyrics are pretty good, and the music is very catchy. I listened to it before a few cross country races, and it stuck in my head the whole way keeping me going, hah.
